Who can participate in the Summer STEM Camp? +
The camp is open to all students worldwide interested in STEM fields, typically middle school, high school, and early college students.
How much does the camp cost? +
The camp is completely free!
When and how will the sessions be held? +
Sessions will be held weekly on Saturdays from July 19 to August 16, 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM CST, via Zoom. You will receive the Zoom link after registration.
What if I miss a session? +
We recommend attending as many sessions as possible. Participants who attend at least 4 out of 5 sessions will receive a certificate of participation. Sessions will be recorded and shared afterward.
What will each session cover? +
Each session focuses on a different STEM discipline and includes guest speakers—a professional and a university student—sharing career and academic insights. The final session will feature group project presentations.
How do the group projects work? +
You will be assigned to a team to work on a project related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Some work will be done during sessions and some outside of camp hours.
Do I need any special software or materials? +
No special software is required. You just need a device with internet access and Zoom installed.
Will I receive a certificate? +
Yes! Participants who attend at least 4 sessions will receive a certificate that can be added to resumes or LinkedIn profiles.
Can I participate if I’m from another country/time zone? +
Yes! We chose a session time (Saturday 11 AM – 12:30 PM CST) that accommodates many international time zones. Sessions will also be recorded.
